Cabalié has long held the title of ‘richest French red in our cellars.’ With a depth of flavor (and loyal following) few wines can match, it’s truly a “full-bodied fruit bomb” (The Wine Advocate).
Well, there’s BIG NEWS for Cabalié fans. Hervé Sabardeil has crafted a Cabalié Coup de Coeur – an even richer, more indulgent super cuvée from ancient Grenache and Carignan vines (some over 100 years old). Aged six months in oak, it’s just won gold from top wine guide Gilbert & Gaillard. Their tasting note says it all:
“Appealing nose of blackberry, toast, cocoa and fine spices. The palate is powerful, well-balanced and highly aromatic. A very gratifying wine for ribeye steak.”
Old vines mean two things. Enormous flavor impact and tiny volumes. You’ll want to order ASAP if you want to get your hands on this.
