The “road” to silky-smooth richness ends right here with this hugely acclaimed Spanish red.
Unearthed by our Spanish wine expert, Beth Willard, “Camino de Seda” is from the cellars of acclaimed winemaker Pamela Geddes – the talent behind many of our favorite Spanish reds. It’s her homage to the famed “silk route” that once ran right through the sun-drenched vineyards of Jumilla. In fact, her premium Monastrell grapes (aka Mourvèdre in France) grow in an old vineyard that’s encircled by mulberry trees – which happen to be the silk worm’s favorite dwelling.
It’s a luscious treat for sure. And, it’s already wowing international judges, scooping a gold and double-gold medal at Berliner Wein Trophy and CWSA. You’re in for rich, black-fruit flavors (think: plenty of blackberry and plum) plus mocha, vanilla and earthy spice notes.
Just the thing for a grilled lamb kebab or a plate of charcuterie and cheeses. But you’ll want to grab your share soon, before our limited bottles are snapped up by thirsty Spanish wine fans …
