Didier Brenac and Yannick Pons are doing great things at this tiny domaine. Judges at the Concours de Brignoles seem to agree with us – they awarded Didier and Yannick’s small-batch Cabernet a gold medal. Now it’s your turn to be the judge.
Founded in 1932 by Louis Brenac (Didier’s grandfather), Domaine Saint André lies in the Hérault Valley, near the 3,000-year-old hillside town of Oppidum d’ Enserune. Since Didier took the helm, he’s been on a mission to get the most from the estate’s vineyards, and with Yannik now in charge in the cellar, the wines are better than ever.
Yannik selected only the ripest parcels of Cabernet, grown during the exceptional 2016 vintage. Back in the winery, he treated the wine to a gentle maceration (aka a gentle soaking of the grapes) to give it a rich color and coax out the Cabernet’s vibrant, fruit-forward character. You’re in for intense blackberry and black currant flavors, all wrapped up in a silky-smooth texture.
A delicious partner for sweet-and-smoky barbecued meats or hearty stews – and a great value too! Secure your share today, then let us know what you think with a review.
