As a child, Carlos Plaza checked for la llave roja (‘the red key’) every morning. If it wasn’t hanging on the wall, his father was already in the winery, and Carlos would race to join him. Today, Carlos honors his father with this special red.
Crafted in dry, hot Extremadura (a haven for sun-loving Tempranillo and Syrah – all harvested by hand), it earned a gold medal and 89 points from Gilbert & Gaillard. They called it: “Mellow and fruity on the palate. Easy-drinking with a delicate toast sensation and fine tannins.”
The perfect red for a ‘low-key’ night with friends (and classic Spanish tapas).
