Immigrant farmers who planted vines in California during the late nineteenth century were hopeful, optimistic and seriously determined to succeed in the harsh New World. This limited-edition Zinfandel is a fitting homage to their gritty spirit.
Crafted at Parducci Wine Cellars (hailed as a “trailblazer” by Jancis Robinson in her book, American Wine), True Grit stars Mendocino-grown Zinfandel (with a splash of Petite Sirah and Syrah for extra-deep color and palate-coating texture). Wanting to add even more spicy oomph, winemaker Bob Swain opted to age part of the wine for 24 months in oak. Put it together with a plate of meaty pasta and a classic ’60s Western for a seriously scene-stealing pairing.
Zinfandel’s popularity as a smooth, hearty red has been steadily growing – you’ll taste why it inspires such devotion if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on True Grit. Order today!
