The Rackhouse is hands-down one of the most exciting Cabs we’ve ever offered — and certainly the most unique!
What happens when you take hand-harvested, low-yielding Cabernet grown at 4,000 feet up in Argentina’s Zonda Valley, then age it a year in bourbon barrels? The most delicious alchemy.
Bourbon barrels are made with heavily charred American oak. They’re taller and skinnier than normal barrels, so the wood-to-wine ratio is higher, adding richness and smoky complexity to the wine inside.
Named for the building where bourbon barrels are stored, The Rackhouse overflows with ripe blackberry and plum – which meld seamlessly into gentle notes of sweet spice, toasty vanilla, caramel, and smoky cedar.
While delicious on its own, The Rackhouse is perfectionwith a juicy cut of steak or a spicy burger. Anything meaty and rich will do (including mushroom-based dishes for vegetarians).
Hurry – very little imported.
